FL (August 18, 2004) -Gil Dezer, President of
Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences was
recently host for a Fundraiser Event for Jimmy
Morales for County Mayor Miami-Dade 2004. A
cocktail reception was held on the 31st Floor
Sales Center of the Trump International Sonesta
Beach Resort with members and guests showing
their support for the Jimmy Morales Campaign.
Jimmy
was born in Miami Beach, Florida to Sara and
Policarpio ("Jimmy Sr."). His parents
moved to Miami in 1947, seeking a better life
so their only child could achieve a top-quality
education and realize the American Dream.
Upon graduation, Jimmy became Florida's sole
U.S. Presidential Scholar and was awarded
the Miami Herald's Silver Knight for general
scholarship. He studied at Harvard College,
graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude
in 1984, and went on to graduate Magna Cum
Laude from Harvard Law School in 1987. He
then accepted the honor of a clerkship with
Judge Edward B. Davis, in the United States
District for the Southern District of Florida.
In 1989, Jimmy commenced his career as an
attorney, working in Washington D.C. and New
York City, returning to Miami-Dade County
in 1993 for love of family and a sense of
wanting to give back to a community that had
given him so much.
Jimmy is currently a shareholder with one
of Miami 's most prestigious law firms, Stearns
Weaver Miller Weisler Alhadeff & Sitterson,
P.A. He practices corporate and international
law in addition to his career in public service.
Jimmy is married to Dori Foster-Morales and
they are the proud parents of Nora Leigh and
